Terra is a Chef driven neighborhood bistro focused on highlighting the beauty of local produce.

Our menu changes weekly and seasonally; dishes are built with care using classic techniques to showcase the bounty we receive from local farmers and producers.

Hand cut steaks and chops, carefully selected micro-seasonal produce, and fresh caught fish are perfectly complemented by a world-class wine list and exciting bar program.

Since
2006

We chose the name Terra from the word of Latin origin meaning earth or land. Our goal at Terra is to showcase the beauty and bounty that comes from that land. Using as many locally grown ingredients as possible with a focus on supporting local farmers, we strive to prepare the freshest and finest ingredients simply so that they speak for themselves. With the addition of a few complementing flavors, we hope to create harmony and beauty with each plate of food.

Chef Mike Davis opened Terra in 2006. The restaurant has earned numerous awards during its time serving locals and visitors to the Columbia, SC area. Terra has earned the Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRoNA) distinction, numerous Wine Spectator awards, numerous other recognitions and accolades, and is celebrated as one of the early leaders of the farm-to-table movement in South Carolina. Chef Davis was named Best Chef in Columbia by readers of Free Times five years consecutively.
